Obituary of Lucy Joyce Davino

Lucy Joyce Davino, 79, of Freehold Township died Monday, February 23, 2015 at home. She was born in Freehold and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a minor’s account clerk for the Monmouth County Surrogate’s Office, Freehold from 1984 until her retirement in 2013. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband Carmine A. Davino in 1984 and a daughter, Janet Anderson in 2004. Surviving are her grandson, Matthew Cope and his loving girlfriend, Shailin Lee; two brothers, Harry J. and Jack W. Hawthorne; and a sister, Elizabeth F. Higgins. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Memorial donations to VNA of Central Jersey Hospice would be appreciated.
