Obituary of Lawrence E. Brodie
Lawrence E Brodie was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Glodie Brodie December 15, 1942 in Long Branch NJ. He lived in Freehold NJ.
He attended the Freehold public schools where he played Freshman basketball, Freshman Football, Junior Varsity Basketball, and Varsity Basketball.
Graduating from Freehold Borough High school in 1962, he attended the Second Baptist Church in Freehold presently known as New Beginnings Agape Christian Center. He was baptized under the pastorate of the late Rev. T.M. Jones. He participated in many youth activities in the church.
Upon graduation from High School, he was employed with Marlboro Electric Company. He was employed with Brockway Glass Company in Freehold for 30 years, where he lived.
His favorite music was Jazz. His hobbies were fishing and cooking barbecue during the summer months. He enjoyed friends and family.
On August 12, 1967 Lawrence united in holy matrimony with his lovely wife Alzeniah for 52 years.
He is predeceased by his parents Glodie and Lillie Bea Brodie, and his siblings, George Clarence, Kenneth, Robert, Jessie, and Fellman Brodie, Cinnie Gandy, Vera Love, and Cynthia Brodie.
He leaves to cherish a devoted wife; two sons, Lawrence L Brodie, Bradley Beach NJ, and Jermane M. Brodie, Lakewood NJ; a daughter, Kabria A. Brodie, Norcross GA.; six grandchildren Quasha, Larry, Ajon, Nigel, Mecca, Anari; two great grandchildren, Olivia and Jaiden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
