I sorry for your Loss...We did not hang out together...although Iwish we could have...to say working for Him was Fantastic is truly an Understatement...Respect and Admiration does that Define Love for the Man? In Jacks Eyes I always felt it did...I am no one special...just an Acme Guy He Helped more than once in My Life...and I was glad I told Him thanks many times...sorry I cant attend the service...but I always believe what makes a Man's Life Great are the People in it that help Him Live it...I was very Lucky to have known Him.

Dear Family and Close Friends, Although I only met Jack on a few occasions back in the late 70's, I do know it was leaders like him and his close friend, Jerry Innocenti, that made Acme a market leader during their tenure. With all my sympathy, Gary Westrol

As my superior Mr Ottenger was always very kind and also very funny, especially when we opened the Moorestown Acme and he was wheeled into the room in a big present and popped out like Jack in the box, no pun intended...for Judy Spires, it was a great day. RIP Jack

I'm so sad to hear about the passing of Jack Ottinger. I saw his obituary and had tears in my eyes. He was my District Manager for many years. I always looked up to him. He was always so kind to me and my family, who worked at the Acme as well. I remember his laugh. I can remember alot of the funny stuff he would say. One time saying he didn't have seeds to magically grow staff. The way he said it was just so funny. N other times encouraging us to grow sales and telling us to have so much stuff out the customers trip on it. He was being obviously silly, but was encouraging us to merchandise. I remember silly stories about merchandising the shrimp rings too. He was a big support to me and encouraged me a great deal with my career at Acme. I'll always remember him. I'm so sorry to his family and loved ones he was a great man.

Marcie, Please accept my deepest condolences . Jack was a great friend and mentor . He loved people and the grocery business. His passion for developing people resulted in a multitude of raving Jack fans who now mourn his passing. He lived and enjoyed life on his own terms and now he is gone too soon. He was my hero!
