Obituary of Lois J. Fecsko

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved mom, Lois Fecsko. Our family is so thankful that she transitioned peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. We truly appreciate the dedicated care provided by the staff at Brandywine Reflections over these past 18 months and the spiritual compassionate care of Grace Hospice in her final hours. We are certain she was received with great joy by Graeme, Greta and all of her family and friends who have prepared for her arrival. Our mom was a strong, joyful woman, with exquisite blue eyes and infectious giggles, loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Faced with many difficult challenges she met each with strength and determination. Kind, thoughtful, fair to a fault, always smiling, lover of all living things, especially her devoted grandchildren, her many four-legged children, especially Greta, and her beautiful flowers that will continue to flourish in so many gardens near and far. She left us but not before teaching us all that life is beautiful, laughter is contagious, and that family will always be our greatest blessing. Always late but worth the wait was our wonderful mom! Lois passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. She was born in Staten Island and had resided in Freehold for 59 years. She was a probate clerk for the Monmouth County Surrogate’s Office, Freehold before her retirement. Lois was predeceased by her grandson, Graeme Joseph Preston, in 2008 and a brother, Joseph Baranoski. Surviving are her children, John Fecsko and wife Barbara, Joseph Fecsko and wife Alice, Michael Fecsko and wife Casey, Marie Mogilski and husband Jack, Beth Taylor and fiancé Dan King, and Anne Preston and husband Scott; and 14 grandchildren, Jim, Matt and wife Amanda, Scott and wife Renate, Brett, Joe, Jess, Chris, Paige, Kyle, Quinn, Emily, Thomas, Riley, and Grace. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral services and a time of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Graeme Preston Foundation for Life, 151 Broadway, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
