Obituary of Janina Drozda

Janina Drozda, 88 of Freehold passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, NJ.  Born in Olejow, Poland, she had lived in Linden prior to moving to Freehold 21 years ago.

Mrs. Drozda was a self-employed seamstress.

She was a former communicant of St. Hedwig’s Church, Elizabeth.

She was predeceased by her husband, Piotr Drozda, and her son, Jan Drozda.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Danuta and Stanislaw Nowakowski, Freehold; a brother, Bronislaw Lukas, Maryborough, Victoria, Australia; a sister, Weronika Sobkow, Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, Magdalena Nowakowski Erben, Katarzyna Marszalski, and Christopher Nowakowski; and four great grandchildren, Julian and Aiden Erben, and Maya and Anna Marszalski.

Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. John Paul II Church, 490 State Street, Perth Amboy. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Mausoleum, Colonia.
