Been a few month since i and my family have been to see Dr D and just found out what happened! Totally devastated over the news! Will forever have fantastic memories of 30 plus years of fun and pain filled visits! I would say i am like a rock, and he would turn me into a pebble! Such a great guy and will be so missed!

Dr. D. As he was so lovingly called came into our lives 26 years ago. His knowledge as well as his demeanor kept calling us back. Our entire family visited him for treatment or a good laugh. He cared for his patients as if they were family. He was able to get us out of physical pain and sometimes emotional pain. A birthday didn’t pass without a loving message. We just heard about his death yesterday. Shocking us to our core. Dr D you are missed and will be for a long time. To his family, please know he loved you without condition. I feel like I know you all. Dr D we will be eternally grateful for YOU. There is no replacement for you. How fortunate we are to have met you. As my husband so aptly put, he was family! And so he was. Many blessings to his family. Dr D we love you. I just imagine your Spirit telling jokes to a full audience. God bless Dr D.

Dr.D, Thanks for helping me always feel better. Your jokes and persona worked on my spirit while you're expertise worked on my back. You enriched so many lives and helped so many people.
I hope your kids know how proud you were if them, and how happy they made you.
I wish you and your family peace.

Dr. D treated my family and I for over 20 years. He was a breath of fresh air and we enjoyed listening to his corny jokes and stories. He Took care of our aches and pains and really cared about his patients. When I told my son about his passing, he was shocked and said, Dr. D was one of the good guys. Yes he was and the world is a little less brighter with his passing. My deepest sympathy To Gabriella, Jackie and Fred. Rest in peace Dr. D. We love you. Jeanette Stafford

We met when we were five years old, best friends as were our older brothers , Frank and Tony. In many ways my early childhood in Brooklyn was beautifully colored by your love and friendship , brothers-in-arms and miniature partners in crime. We reconnected as adults and the years that passed just melted as if it were yesterday when we parted . Your calls and texts, both full of endless laughs and endless advice on how I could improve my life (and you were always right!) meant the world to me because you meant the world to me. You always ended your texts with “love. Fred” and you meant it as all who knew you could attest. There’s an empty hole in our world now and an empty place in my heart. My deepest sympathies to Valerie, your son and daughters and to Pam . Hug Frank and your parents for me. Keep me in your heavenly heart as I keep you in mine.
Love,
Chris

It was always a pleasure to see Fred at the ANJC events. Cheerful, full of energy and he sat in the front row which made him even harder to miss! We always had wonderful conversations: some were technical, most were just between friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Peace.

DR D as I always called him or DR Demento was a fantastic doctor but more then this he was a wonderful person. He cared deeply for his patients and was always helpful. My family and I all visited him and he always helped us. He was FUNNY and always made me laugh. My son went to the office last night for his appointment and when he saw the sad note that DR D had passed he called me crying. This is the testament of what he meant to our family and I am sure many others. We send our condolences to his family who we feel that we know because he always talked of you all. May he Rest In Peace

I became a patient of Fred's 35 years ago and could not imagine a world without his humor and heart. In all those years, when he was chasing his children and his dog from his office until recently, he never changed his manner and his great way of relating to his patients. We exchanged stories, jokes, restaurants, and all the times and how life changed for us both. He always spoke with great love about his children, grandchildren, and especially his July 4 barbecues. He was truly one of a kind and to say he will be missed is a great understatement. My sincere condolences to the entire family.
