Obituary of Rafael Hernandez

Rafael Hernandez, 72 of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township.  He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

Mr. Hernandez was a kitchen cabinet maker for Woodline Kitchen Cabinets, Howell Township for several years, retiring over 20 years ago.  After his retirement, he was employed in the maintenance department at Wegmans, Manalapan Township.

Surviving are his wife, Carmen Maldonado Hernandez; two daughters, Myra Pierce, Freehold Township, and Sandra Hernandez, Yardville; and a grandson, Dylan Michael Pierce.

Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at Maplewood Chapel Mausoleum, Freehold Township.  Donations in his memory to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ  08691 would be appreciated.
