Obituary of Betty Jean Hartley

Betty Jean Hartley, 84 of Freehold passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at CentraState Medical center, Freehold Township.  Born in Asheville, North Carolina, she lived in Hempstead, New York prior to moving to Freehold two years ago.

Mrs. Hartley was a junior accountant for Nikon, Inc., Garden City, New York for over 40 years, retiring in 2000.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Franklin Hartley in 1983; her parents, Ernest and Ella Johnson Gray; and her siblings, Lawrence, John and Ernest Gray, and Theola Shelton.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Hartley-Cisco and Bernard Cisco, Freehold; two sisters, Mary Gray Barnes, Oak Park, Michigan, and Floree Lowery, Asheville, North Carolina; and two grandsons, Sherod Hartley and Naeem Cisco.

Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
