Obituary of Lawrence David Wright
Lawrence David Wright, 56, of Lakewood died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Lincoln Park.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had served aboard the USS Kalamazoo.
He was a graduate of Manalapan High School, Class of 1977. He was a supervisor for the Monmouth County Shade Tree Commission where he was employed for 25 years before his retirement. Prior to that, he was employed at Two Guys and Steinbach’s, both of Manalapan Township.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Parker Wright; two daughters, Valerie and Katie; his parents, David and Dale Wright; a brother, Robert Wright and his wife Anne Marie; two sisters Lin Elsayed and her husband Tarek and Cheryl Giron; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Humane Society or National Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
