Obituary of Michael A. Palo

Michael A. Palo, 95, of Freehold, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Marlboro Township. Born in Middletown, New York, he lived in Staten Island prior to moving to Freehold two years ago. Mr. Palo was a police officer for the New York Police Department, Brooklyn, New York. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as First Lieutenant. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmela in 2006; and his daughter, Carolyn Durante in 2013. Surviving are two sons, Michael Palo, Brussels, Belgium, and Robert Palo, Concord, North Carolina; a daughter, Patricia E. Alaimo, Freehold Township; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, from 8:00 A.M. until 9:15 A.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Middletown, New York.
