Obituary of James Matthew Geis

James (Jim) Matthew Geis, 43, of East Windsor, NJ died on May 15, 2019, while his mother, Kathy Geis, and the love of his life, Renee Weber were by his side.

Jim was born on August 12, 1975 in Plainfield, NJ, and grew up in North Plainfield. He graduated from Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, and attended Raritan Valley College in Branchburg.

Jim worked for Cooper Pest Solutions, where he was loved by his coworkers, and by many of his customers.

Jim enjoyed going to karaoke with his love, Renee, and cherished his “karaoke family”. He was a talented artist, who painted and sketched portraits. He had a passion for writing, and also for telling/writing jokes. He enjoyed cooking, Taco Bell, and made a killer buffalo chicken dip. Jim loved music, and listened to bands like Pink Floyd and Dream Theatre. He was currently learning how to play the guitar.

He loved horror movies, and enjoyed playing video games, especially Friday the 13th. Jim had a strong love for animals, especially for his blind and deaf dachshund, Spaz, whom he rescued and gave a loving home.

Jim was many things. A hard worker, patient, kind, funny, loving, thoughtful, and above all selfless. He was always thinking of others before himself. He was often quiet, but came up with hilarious comments at the most random moments.

Gone before him is his father, John William Geis Sr., and his grandfather Raymond C. Sylvester Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Geis of Hillsborough, his love, Renee Weber of East Windsor, brother, John Geis, grandmother, Lois Sylvester, uncle, Ray Sylvester, cousin, Carl Sylvester, Godmother, Diane Castner, and his beloved Dachshund, Spaz.
Jim, you were truly one of a kind.

You will always be loved and missed. Shine on, you crazy diamond. Shine on.
