Obituary of Robert C. Brockman

Robert C. Brockman III, age 65 of Jackson passed away April 7, 2015 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Bayonne, NJ and has lived in Jackson for the last 32 years. Bob worked for Bell Labs/AT&T for 35 years where he was awarded a patent, and later worked on design of fiber optic cable systems. He enjoyed woodworking and was a classic car buff. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Sophie Brockman and his mother-in-law, Catherine Barrett. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Margaret (Maggie), his son Robert C. Brockman IV of Hong Kong and daughter Laura A. Brockman of Jackson. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Giblock and her husband Gary of Knoxville, TN, and his brother, James Brockman and his wife Lauren of Millstone Township, NJ, his brothers-in-law, Carl H. Becker III of Maryland and John Becker of Florida. He is survived by 10 nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2pm to 6pm Sunday April 12 at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.
