Obituary of Kevin J. Stapleton

Kevin J. Stapleton, 71 of Freehold passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he lived in Woodside, New York prior to moving to Freehold 34 years ago. Mr. Stapleton was a Certified Public Accountant for AXA Equitable Life Assurance Company, New York, New York. After his retirement, he was a consultant for Ernst and Young, Secaucus. He received his Bachelors of Economics degree from Manhattan College, Riverdale, New York, and his Masters of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Long Island University, Brooklyn, New York. He was an avid cyclist and hiker, and enjoyed reading and traveling. He was predeceased by his parents, and his sisters, Audrey Chapman and Kathleen Stapleton. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Zayatz Stapleton; his sister, Bernadette Ross, Portland, Oregon; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and James Koller and Veronica Zayatz; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday, March 3, 2019 2:00 to 6:00 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold.
