Obituary of Everett L. Haywood

Everett L. Haywood, 80 of Jackson Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, he lived there prior to relocating to the northeast, settling in Jackson 40 years ago. Mr. Haywood was an engineer for U.R.S. Corp., Freehold. Mr. Haywood received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as Captain. Surviving are his wife, Sheila Sneed Haywood; a daughter, Tamara Haywood, Union City, California; and a sister, Melanie Haywood, Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. Visitation will be held from Noon until service time.
