Obituary of Richard D. Schandall

Richard D. Schandall, Sr., 92 of Freehold Township, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, he lived in Uniondale, Long Island prior to moving to Freehold Township 47 years ago. Mr. Schandall was a retail manager for Norkus Enterprises, Freehold. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Mary Mc Elroy Schandall in 2017. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and James Shields, Jackson Township; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard, Jr. and Nicole Schandall, France, William and Alison Schandall, Charleston, South Carolina, and James and Carol Schandall, Freehold Township; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will be private.
