Obituary of Irene E. Kosco
Irene Ester Kosco, 93, passed away January 15, 2019, in Bradenton, Florida.
Born in Farrell, PA, she lived in Hamilton for 11 years, West Windsor Township for 25 years, and Concordia Jamesburg for 13 years, before moving to Bradenton, Florida. She graduated from Farrell High School and attended Youngstown College, Ohio. After Youngstown College, Mrs. Kosco completed Secretarial School in Fort Worth, Texas and was employed by RCA Astro in Hightstown, for 24 years.
Mrs. Kosco loved taking cooking classes, cooking for the family and also liked traveling with her husband John. She was a member of the Airstream club for a number of years.
Mrs. Kosco was predeceased by her parents, John and Julia Duleba Betts Sr; her husband of 48 years, John, who died August 15th 1997; and her brothers John and Norman Betts. Surviving are her three sons and their spouses, John and Ann Kosco, Piscataway, James Kosco, Bradenton, Florida and Thomas and Anna Kosco, Whiting, two granddaughters and their spouses, Jaclyn Kosco married to George Ploumitsakos, Great Granddaughters Emma and Athena Ploumitsakos Whiting, Carolyn Kosco Crawford married to John Crawford, Great Grandson John Thomas Crawford.
West Long Branch. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold.
Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Grand and Malone Sts, Trenton. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery and Mausoleum 1200 Cedar Lane in Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
