Obituary of Barbara P. Milich

Barbara P. Milich, 88, lifelong resident of Freehold, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2018 with her husband and loved ones by her side. Born in the original Freehold Hospital in 1930 and raised in Freehold Borough, Barbara spent her Summers at the family shore home in Gilford Park where she and her brother enjoyed boating. Upon moving to Freehold Township in 1959, she developed a love for reading and gardening, (Peonies and Lilies were her favorite). Barbara was a personnel manager for Family & Children Services for 29 years before retiring in 1999. Barbara is predeceased by her parents, John G. Paton, Sr. and Lillian Longstreet Paton and her brother, John G. Paton, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Louis Milich, her daughter Holly V. McKay, her granddaughter, Christine McKay and her boyfriend, Jon Lotano; her brothers and sister-in-law Richard Milich and Phil & Jane Milich and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Memorial Services will be held at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Higgins at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad, 18 Spring Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 in Barbara’s memory.
