Obituary of Carol Jean Machu

Carol Jean Machu, 70, of Farmingdale died on Friday, December 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Preferred Care at Wall, Wall Township. She was born in Neptune Township. She was a school bus driver for the Howell Township Schools for 39 years before her retirement. She predeceased by a granddaughter, Lindsay Mauser. Surviving are her husband, Joseph E. Machu, Sr.; her children, Joseph E. Machu, Jr. and wife Kelly and Diane Smith and husband Chris; two brothers, Harry “Butch” Cox and wife Mary Jo and David Cox and wife Mary; three sisters, Dorothy Brandt and husband Clark, Barbara Reed and Kim Cox; and four grandchildren, Erin Mauser, Joseph T. Machu, Jesse Machu and Jack Machu The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
