Obituary of John Kenneth Willyung

John Kenneth Willyung, 77 of Howell Township passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, East Orange. Born in Elizabeth, he lived there prior to moving to Howell Township in 1971. Mr. Willyung was a fuel agent for Trans World Airlines, Newark. He was a United States Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a substance abuse volunteer for the Monmouth County Sherriff’s Office, Department of Corrections, and a 40 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Downey. Surviving are his son, John Willyung and his fiancé, Lisa Ricciardi; his daughter, Rachel Willyung-Gore, two sisters, Phyllis Eskildson, and Marie Lang and her husband, Kenneth; and his longtime companion Elizabeth Carroll. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
