Obituary of Laura J. Koch

Laura J. Koch, 85, of Morganville died on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Township. She was born in Jersey City and resided in Freehold Township before moving to Morganville. Mrs. Koch was a legal secretary for Kantor and Linderoth, Keyport for over 30 years before her retirement 13 years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her children and granddaughter. She was an avid reader and excellent cook, enjoyed crocheting, and was a donor to many charities and organizations. She loved animals especially her dog, Shelley. Mrs. Koch was predeceased by her husband, Frederick J. Koch, in 2002 and her siblings, Fran Wright, Robert Terrace, and Dorothy Lafrato. Surviving are a son, Frederick J. Koch, Jr. and his partner, Dennis; a daughter, Lila Roggendorf and her husband Kyle; two sisters, Charlotte Ferrara and JoAnne Kelly; and her “Sweetie Girl” granddaughter, Alex. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held during the visiting hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
