Obituary of Marie T. O'Brien

Marie T. O’Brien, 94, of Howell Township died on November 8, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. Mrs. O’Brien was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She and her husband owned and operated O’Brien’s News Service. Prior to that, they owned and operated Pixie’s Inn, Farmingdale. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward O’Brien in 2011; her parents, Joseph and Minnie McCarthy Voltz; and her brothers and sisters, Sam, Jim, and Jack Voltz, Ginnie Moskat, Joan Zarnowski, and Rita Loveland. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Marie Crescenzo, Joan Hampton, Diane Tirendi, Joseph and James Zarnowski, Margie Boyle, Jack Voltz, and Mary Newnum. Services will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the SPCA would be appreciated. The family extends their thanks to Brandywine of Howell and Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Brennan Pavilion for their devoted care.
