Obituary of Christopher Dorf

Christopher Dorf, 56, of Neptune City, our dear son, father, brother and friend passed away of natural causes on October 22, 2018. Chris was an avid and skillful fisherman. Chris’ friends and family will remember his generosity and ability to make a lasting impression on everyone he met because of his quick wit and humor. He was a friendly, sensitive man who cared deeply for his friends and family. Always ready to lend a hand and make a joke, he leaves all who knew him with wonderful memories. He is survived by his children, Jamie Bergstol and husband Glenn, and a son, Christopher and wife Jaclyn and their 3 children. Chris leaves his mother, Frances Dorf and her companion, Mark Beck; a brother, Stephen Dorf and wife Michele, sisters, Donna Dorf and companion Mark Wellhauer, Laura Dorf, and Kim Prendergast and husband Michael. Many nieces and nephews will miss him greatly, Jenna Edwards and her husband, Jeramy, Kelly Ciamarra and husband Brian, and their son, Brian, Zachary Dorf, Michael Prendergast and Alexis Papiomides, and Christina, Jessica, and Justin Dorf. Chris also leaves his best friend, Karen, and many friends and fishing buddies. “We love YOU more, Chris.” A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
