Obituary of Elailne Zarzyski

Elaine (Zarr) Zarzyski, 66, of Freehold died on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel Township. She was born in Neptune Township and had resided in Freehold and Coconut Grove, Florida for many years before returning to Freehold. She loved joining with her family at gatherings and was known for generosity and gift giving for each family member. She was the Freehold Area Hospital 1975 Charity Ball Queen. She was a graduate of Howell High School and attended Brookdale Community College, Lincroft. Elaine was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She was an avid reader and frequent visitor to the Freehold Public Library. Flower gardening was her passion and she actively participated in the Freehold Community Garden. She was a volunteer at Open Door and Habitat for Humanity. Surviving are a brother, John Zarzyski; a sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Robert Morris; three nieces, Cindy Pusey and her husband George, Laura Strope and husband Brian, and Jill Henig and husband Stephan; and her great nieces and nephews, Jacqueline, Kimberly, Robert, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Zachary, and Erik. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
