Obituary of Marie Boutote Bennett

Marie Boutote Bennett, 91, of Fort Pierce, Florida died on Friday, October 5, 2018 at The Lynmore at Lawnwood, Fort Pierce. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and was a longtime Freehold Township resident before retiring to Florida. Marie was the tax collector in Freehold Township before her retirement. She was a communicant of St Lucie Catholic Church, Port St Lucie, FL and former communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Charles Bennett in 2010 and her first husband, Daniel J. Boutote in 1970. Surviving are seven children, Dennis, Phillip, Donna, Chris, Marty, Mark, and Lynette; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
