Obituary of Jeffrey Wayne Alexander
Jeffrey Wayne Alexander, 62 years old, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his Freehold home. Jeff was born December 30, 1955 in Queens, New York to the late James and Edith Alexander and was the youngest of his five siblings.
Jeff served as a Sergeant in the United States Army for nine years before being honorably discharged in 1986. After serving our country he perused his career as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Lakewood where he was employed for 32 years. He was a proud member of the NALC Branch No. 1089 family.
All that knew Jeff, knew of his love for fishing and sports; most importantly the Super Bowl LII Champions-The Philadelphia Eagles!!
Jeff loved to spend time with his family and friends, laughing and always wearing a smile on his face. He was a loving, caring, and kind person, devoted husband, father and friend, always thinking of others first. “To know him was to love him.”
Jeff leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Kimberly Alexander, his children Alyssa Berrios of Hamilton, NJ; Derryck Alexander, MS. of West Orange, NJ; Dr. David Berrios of Freehold, NJ; Alyssa Alexander of Freehold, NJ; Mrs. Jordyn Casey of Phillipi, WV, and Ms. Justyne Sandusky of Morgantown, WV; his grandchildren Jaysean, Masyn, Cameron, Kingsly, Remmy, and Rowyn. his sister, Jean and brother-in-law Clarence. He also leaves behind a host of beloved aunts, uncles. nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jeff joins his brothers Carl, Donald and sister Marion.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 10 beginning at 10 am at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. The interment will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
