Obituary of Larry Rand

Larry Rand, beloved husband of Carole Goodsmith, died suddenly at home in Watertown, Massachusetts, on September 14, 2018. He is survived by his wife Carole, his brother-in-law and friend Lester Freundlich, his nephew Marc Freundlich and nieces Sharon Freundlich and Stephanie Naglak. He is also survived by devoted cousins. Larry was born in Bergenfield, New Jersey to loving parents Phyllis and Stanley Rand, in 1961. Larry experienced hardship starting at seven years old when Stanley died. He overcame this hardship and other problems using perseverance and hard work as well as supportive family and friends. Larry graduated from Teaneck High School and George Washington University, where he majored in Business Economics. Larry was a successful contracts manager for the Federal Government and several private companies. Everyone who knew Larry enjoyed his warm smile, friendly manner and eagerness to connect with people. He had an amazing memory and cared a lot about his extended family. He will be missed.
