Obituary of Debramarie Elizabeth McCann

Debramarie Elizabeth “Debi” McCann, 56, of Freehold passed away on Friday evening at her home. She was born in Elizabeth and had resided in Manalapan Township before moving to Freehold. She received a Master’s Degree in Education from Kean University in 1997. An accomplished sign language practitioner, she was a school teacher for the deaf and hearing impaired at the Elmora Elementary School, Elizabeth. Debi was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She enjoyed her trips to Disneyworld. She was predeceased her father, Jacob Pacana, in 2008. Surviving are her husband, Robert McCann; a son, Brian McCann; her mother, Helen Pacana; and a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jay O’Neill. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad, 18 Spring Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
