Obituary of Betty J. Lee

Betty J. Lee, 65 of Jackson Township passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Born in Neptune Township, she lived in Freehold prior to moving to Jackson Township five years ago. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Freehold. Mrs. Lee was a clerk for the State Department of Education, Freehold. Surviving are her sons, Thomas Lee Battle, Jr., Patrick Leon Battle, David Isaac Battle, and Steven Douglas Battle; her daughters, Tara Lee Battle-Coxson, and Chevonne Elizabeth Battle; a brother, Willie James Moore; a sister, Effie Henderson; and six grandchildren, Terrell, Tiara, Michael, Luna, Isiah and Khalia. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 10:00 to Noon. Funeral services will be held at noon at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
