Obituary of Joyce G. Hnilicka

Joyce G. Hnilicka, 83, of Toms River died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at home. She was born in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota and had resided in Rochester, Minnesota, Greencastle, Indiana, and Freehold before moving to Toms River. Mrs. Hnilicka was a graduate of the Minneapolis School of Business. She was chief stenographer for the Monmouth County Planning Board, Freehold before her retirement. Prior to that she was a secretary for Shop Rite, Freehold. Mrs. Hnilicka was a former communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her companion Donald Kerezsy, boating, crabbing, and fishing. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Randi Hnilicka and Grant and JoAnne Hnilicka; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Dwight Cressy; three brothers, Allan, Dale, and Gerry Grandbois; a sister, Doria Mae Stone; three grandchildren, Kyle, Kristin, and Lara; and five great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
