Obituary of Iris Ilse Gisela Kleiner

Iris Ilse Gisela Kleiner, formerly Iris Helish, 75, of Wall Township, beloved wife, mother, and mother-in-law, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2018. She has joined her great love Edward Kleiner in eternity. She was born in Scharmutzelsee, Germany, and had lived in Freehold prior to moving to Wall Township five years ago. Those who knew her well knew of the woman who escaped occupied East Germany, came to the United States, learned English and raised her two children and created a flourishing business in real estate for more than 40 years. She brought joy, love and grace to her family and friends, and will be remembered and cherished in their hearts. Predeceased by her husband Edward in 2017, she is survived by her daughter, Barbara Helish; her son, Dirk Alexander and his wife, Francesca; her brother Karsten Kohler and his wife, Sabine; and her daughters in spirit, Susan Steele and Viola Sarkantyus; all who will miss her beyond measure. A celebration of her life will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
