Obituary of Robert E. Davis

Robert E. Davis, 90, of Clearbrook, Monroe Township, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at St. Peter’s Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in Gilmanton, New Hampshire, he lived in Brooklyn, New York prior to moving to Monroe Township over ten years ago. Mr. Davis was a mailroom clerk for Raytheon Company, New York, where he was a September 11, 2001 survivor of Tower Two of the World Trade Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an avid bowler. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ann LoSchiavo Davis in 1985, his second wife, Lucille Grother Davis, in 1995; and his son, David Davis, in 2015. Surviving are his sons, Robert Davis, Jr. and his wife, Marie, Staten Island, New York, and Joseph Davis and his wife, Donna, Brooklyn, New York; a daughter, Roseann DiBrienza, Marlboro Township; a daughter-in-law, Roseanne Davis, Holbrook, New York; a stepson and daughter-in-law, John and Terry Grother; two step-brothers, Joseph and George Kolenski; eleven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, Route 520, Marlboro Township. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.
