Obituary of Mary G. Dwyer
Mary G. Dwyer, 93, of Freehold passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at home. She was born and raised in Atlantic City and had resided in Freehold for over 50 years.
Mrs. Dwyer was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She was a member of Court St. Rose of Lima No. 737, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Rosary Altar Society of the church. She was a volunteer for Open Door of Freehold, American Cancer Society, and Central Jersey Blood Center.
Her husband, Joseph Francis Dwyer, died in 1983. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Seebald in 2015; her parents, James and Catherine McCabe; a brother, James McCabe; and a sister, Catherine Heald.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Francis Joseph and Donna Dwyer and John Gerard and Donna Dwyer; two daughters, Maureen and Jane Dwyer; a brother, William McCabe; two sisters, Elizabeth Freund and Ann “Nancy” Hanstine; her grandchildren, Amy Tierney and husband Craig, Jessica Francisco and husband Alex, Eric Seebald and wife Michele, Oliva Drew and fiancé Andre Ukhanov, Keara Dwyer, and Joseph Dwyer; two great grandchildren, Sean Patrick Tierney and Violet Seebald; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital or the VNA Hospice of Central Jersey would be appreciated.
