Obituary of Joseph P. Austin

Joseph P. Austin was born on October 16, 1960 to the late Joseph P. Austin Sr. and Johnnie Mae Briggs Lida in Clarksdale Mississippi. Joseph was called home to be with the Lord on June 17,2018. Joseph was raised in Freehold, N.J. and attended the Freehold public schools. He enjoyed life and traveled all over the country. He lived in Greensboro, N.C. for 2 years before going to California. No matter where he was he would always call family. He made Greensboro his resting place. Surrounded by family he passed away at Maple Grove Nursing Center on June 17,2018. Joseph was also predeceased by a sister, Barbara Austin. He will be forever loved and missed by his family. He leaves behind two brothers, Charles Briggs (Alberta), and Dax Lida, his sisters, Annette Whittsett (Ralph), Jannin Davis (John), and Rya Morgan (Eric); and a host of family including aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins. After Glow I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
