Obituary of Margaret Mary Malloy Trilby

Margaret “Peggy” Mary Malloy Trilby, 82, of Freehold Township passed away on May 28, 2018, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Margaret was born and raised in New York City, while spending her childhood summers in Long Island, New York. She moved to Freehold 53 years ago to raise her family. Margaret worked in admissions at Freehold Raceway until her retirement in 2002. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, and a member of Court St. Rose of Lima No. 737, Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward G. Trilby in 2008, a daughter, Nancy Trilby in 1965, her parents, Francis and Sadie Malloy, a brother, Frankie Malloy, her sisters, Geraldine Trebotica and Eileen Small; and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Ann Trilby. Surviving are her two sons, Robert Trilby and his partner Wendy Ward, and Edward F. Trilby; three daughters, Karen Trilby and her husband Phil Bassett, Kerri Ganley, and Kelly Doherty; her four grandchildren, Kara, Matthew, Andrew and Jack; and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Friday, June 1, 2018 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
