Obituary of Sharon Ann McMahon

Sharon Ann McMahon, 63 of Jackson Township, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she lived in the Freehold area prior to moving to Jackson Township over 40 years ago. She was an office manager for Newman and Associates, Freehold. She was an avid animal lover who enjoyed cooking, vacationing in the tropics, and anything to do with her grandchildren. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, James and Eugenia Cartwright McMahon. Surviving are her sons, Jonathan Gillespie and his wife Dena, and Jason Gillespie and his fiancé Krystle Giuffre; her grandchildren, Walter Gadsby, Luke Brun, Madison Gillespie and John Cooper Gillespie; her sister, Marion McMahon Kane and her husband, COL (R) Edward Kane; her loving uncle and aunt, whom she referred to as “Dad and Mom” Tom and Louise McMahon, and their children and spouses, Sandy and Keith Lewis, Kevin and Bonnie McMahon, Mary and Mike Mauro, Maureen and Ken Reyelt, and Karen and Jim Murphy; her “Step-Mom” Gloria Hassett; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives. Friends and relatives are invited to come together to celebrate Sharon’s life at a memorial gathering at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Wednesday June 20, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M., with words of remembrance beginning at 5:30 P.M.
