Obituary of Martin M. Holland

Martin M. Holland, 86, of Jackson Township died on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Jamaica Plains, Massachusetts. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Holland was employed at Sony Corporation, Cranbury before his retirement. He was loyal fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Jets. He was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy, in 1976 and his siblings, Robert, William, Leo, Porter, Thomas, Elizabeth, Marie Rush, and Roberta Menzel. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Shirley Wermann Holland; three daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Kevin Rhodes, Freehold Township, Donna and Gary Forman, Englishtown, and Terri and Scott Cameron, Port Orange, Florida; seven grandchildren, Derrick, Ryan, Sean, Brittni, Kirstin, Brooke and Grant; two great granddaughters, Ashlee and Victoria; and sisters, Rita Stipek and Debbie The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital would be appreciated.
