Obituary of Marie Maples

Marie Maples 69, of Somerset died the 11th of May, 2018 at her home after a long illness. The funeral service will be held this Saturday at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. The viewing is from noon to 1pm. Marie was born on the 12th of May1948 in Trenton to Frances Virginia Allen and John J Queen. She worked with children as a paraprofessional in Trenton and Mercer County. Marie married Harry J Maples on September 1, 1968. They raised two daughters and a son. Marie became a military wife and traveled the world with her family. In her spare time she loved to listen to music and watch old movies. Marie is a survived by her husband Harry J Maples; son Harry Maples Jr. and daughter-in-law Petrina Thomas Maples; grandchildren, Tykeem Chavis, Ziarre Goss, Marquise Yarborough, Noah Thomas; Sha-Asia Goss, Heaven Maples, Alexis Townsend, Monique Thomas and Kanai Goss; daughter, Michelle Parker and son in law Creadel Parker, their children, Creadel Parker Jr. Cordell Parker, Quaniesha Maples, Aunye Reed, Taisy Parker, Tempest Parker, Kennedy Parker and Makayla Parker; and daughter Crystal Hicks, and her children Shimeka Hicks, Lamar Hicks and daughter in law Cindy Hicks. and great grandchildren; Nahzyra Eutsey, Paris Hughes, Nala Hicks, Ashton Hicks, Leyani Hicks, Jordan Hicks, Angel Hicks, Kayleb Hicks and, Livan Hicks; a brother, John Allen, and sisters, Eleanor Foxworth, Emma Davis, Mary Pressley. Preceding her to glory is her mother, Frances Harden Queen, her father, James Queen, and sister Sara Hendryx.
