Obituary of Diane C. Olszewski

Diane C. Olszewski, of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Stella Olszewski. She is survived by her longtime companion, Sonny Holt; her sister, Christine Olszewski; and her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Stephanie Olszewski; and brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Jayne Olszewski. Diane was a beloved aunt and Godmother to Sandra and Chester Ostrowski, Hope, Jack, Mike, and Sophia Olszewski; and Kyle, Walter, Richard, and Thomas; and a great aunt to Landon, Stella, and Emily Ostrowski. Diane was an extraordinary registered nurse starting her career at Passaic General Hospital, Passaic. She worked as an intensive care unit, emergency room, and catherization lab/EP studies nurse. While working full time, Diane continued pursuing higher education graduating from Bloomfield College and Jersey City State University where she earned her Master’s Degree. Diane belonged to Alpha Sigma Lambda, Beta Beta Chapter, at Bloomfield College. She finished her nursing career at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey as an intensive care unit manager. Diane touched many lives and will be missed by family, friends, and co-workers. A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the ASPCA would be appreciated.
