Obituary of Vera M. Terry

Vera M. Terry was born on June 6, 1939 in Flushing, New York. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York and attended school there, graduating from Holy Rosary Catholic School. She passed away on April 9, 2018. Vera was a Suffolk County resident of Winedance, Long Island for many years before locating to Burlington County, New Jersey. Sis. Vera had been a long-time member of Mount Calvary Pentecostal Faith Church in Harlem, New York, under the pastoral leadership of Mother Rosa Horn. After moving to Maple Shade, New Jersey, Vera joined Faith Tabernacle, United Holy Church in Freehold, New Jersey, under the leadership of the late Pastor James F. McRae, where her brother Vincent serves as a deacon. The memory of her sweet spirit and tender hear will always be cherished by those who loved her. She will be dearly missed by her family, namely her twin brother Vincent Pourier, Sister in law, Barbara Pourier, her children, Clothilda Bennett, Angelia Toliver, Alease Rossi and John Stephen Terry, Jr., her grandchildren and great grandchild, nieces, nephews, church family and other friends. The viewing will be held at the Faith Tabernacle Church, 11 Ave. A, Freehold on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. funeral services will be held at the church at 10 A.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
