Obituary of Bettine Elaine Morris

Bettine Elaine Morris, 92, of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Mrs. Morris was born in Maplewood. She was an office manager for Colt Detective Agency, Freehold before her retirement. Mrs. Morris was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Betty was a strong and compassionate woman who defeated cancer four times. Her devotion to her family was incredible and she will be missed by many. She was predeceased by her first husband, Hugh Mooney, in 1977 and her second husband, Howard Morris, in 2006. She was also predeceased by a son, Matthew Mooney; her brothers, William and Arthur Boub; and a sister, Marjorie Fairchild. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Brian Cashman; a stepdaughter, Anita Morris; a sister, Beverly Rose; her grandchildren, Jack and Connor Cashman; her stepchildren and step grandchildren; the Cashman family; and many nieces and nephews including Robert Fairchild and Jill Cranmer The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
