Grace,
I remember the first time I saw you in Memorial school when I was around 11 or 12 ...I remember you standing by yourself and you had a stillness about you ..You were looking over at me and I thought to myself ..”she’s a different kind of girl”..I also remember walking with you past your house in Union Beach when we were kids on one of those hot July days after school...I’m so glad we got to reconnect all those years later..

I will remember Rita teaching me how to cook plantains, I have them almost weekly now. Sharing cups of coffee either at the table, in the back yard on my porch or around our neighborhood fire pit gatherings. A lot went down in our neighborhood and we were always there for support, fun, tears and quiet time. May her light shine on through her children, family and granddaughter. Blessings and hugs
