Obituary of Dorothy Ruth Johnson

Dorothy Ruth Johnson, 90 of Toms River, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at home. She was born in East Hartford, Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Johnson, in 1995. Surviving are her son, Stephen Vasilik and his wife, Susan; a daughter, Suzanne Anderson; a brother, David Brookman; a niece, Sylvia Johnson; her grandchildren, Katherine Gorczynski, William Anderson, James Anderson and his wife, Nicole, and Christopher Vasilik; and three great grandchildren, Rachelle Gorczynski, William Parker Anderson, and Harper Anderson. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. with Rev. Marion Jackson officiating. Cremation will be private. Donations in her memory to the Siloam United Methodist Church, 67 Siloam Road, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
