Obituary of Dorothy June Myers

Dorothy June Myers, 85, of Freehold died on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at home. She was born in Pahokee, Florida. Ms. Myers was a HST at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital before her retirement. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Freehold and a life time member of the Lee B. Gibson Temple, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfonso Myers and her daughter Ruby Beecher. Surviving are her three daughters, Alfreda Holloway, Patricia Ann Wharton and Betty Jean Butts; two brothers, Robert Lee James and Roosevelt White; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church, 28 First St., Freehold, on Friday February 23, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
