Obituary of Ruth Ann Whitsett Blacknall

Ruth Ann Whitsett Blacknall, 81 , of Freehold died on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at home. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mrs. Blacknall was a licensed practical nurse at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital before her retirement. She was a member of the New Beginnings Agape Christian Center, Freehold. She was predeceased by four children, Pamela Denise Blacknall, Hubert Sydney Blacknall, Jr., Beverly Diane Blacknall, and Stacey Jerome Blacknall; her siblings, Inez McClain, Veola Eclister Russel, Margaret Louise Russel, John Wesley Whitsett, Ralph Whitsett, Sr., and Charles Albert Whitsett; and a great grandson, Nasir Battle. Surviving are her husband, Hubert Sidney Blacknall; two sons, Michael Lamont Blacknall and Brian Christopher Blacknall; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. The viewing will be held at the New Beginnings Agape Christian Center, 133 Throckmorton Street, Freehold, on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
