Obituary of Roger Conover

Roger Anthony Conover was born February 28, 1972 to the late I. Leona Conover and Roger Phonex at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus formerly Paul Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, NJ. He departed this life on December 25, 2017 at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ. Roger was educated in the Lakewood Public School System and attended Lakewood High School in Lakewood, NJ. His last employment was doing odd jobs in the Lakewood area. Roger affectionately known as “Under” loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a diehard Cowboys fan. Roger was an avid soccer and basketball player. He was full of life and whenever he was around you were sure to get a laugh out of him. He was predeceased by his mother, I. Leona Conover, his father, Roger Phonex, and his step-mother, Gloria Phonex. Roger leaves to cherish his fond memory, four daughters, Quashana Kelly of Lakewood, NJ, Quadashia Taylor of Asbury Park, NJ, Quashawna Kelly and Rojalie Hunter both of Lakewood, NJ; one son, Jaquel Hunter of Lakewood, NJ; eight sisters, Dorothy (Gary) Conover-Kendle, Loretta “Nikki” Conover, Gloria Jackson, Shirley Glenn and Frederica Phonex all of Lakewood, NJ, Pauline (Rodney) Campbell of Jackson, NJ, Susie Phonex of Brick, NJ and Darlene (Johnathan) Irving of Manchester, NJ; one brother, Howard (Agnes) Conover of Toms River, NJ; one grandson, Kaiden Tyler of Lakewood, NJ; two aunts, Peggy Conover of Asbury Park, NJ and Diane Conover of Brick, NJ and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
