Obituary of Patricia D. Hopkins

Patricia D. Hopkins, 63, of Jackson Township died on December 12, 2017 at Monmouth Medical Center-Southern Campus, Lakewood. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia and resided in Freehold before moving to Jackson two years ago. She was a Senior Clerk Typist for the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department, Freehold before retiring in 2015. She was predeceased by her husband, Solomon T. Hopkins Jr, in 2009. Surviving are a son, Solomon T. Hopkins, III; two daughters, Pamela and Dolice A. Hopkins; two brothers, Rodney and Bryant Bemberry and three sisters, Evelyn Bell, Jocelyn Mathurin and Adrian Alexander; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the New Beginnings Agape Christian Center, 133 Throckmorton Street, Freehold on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. The viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
