Obituary of David Soto

David Soto, 69, of Manalapan died Friday, November 3, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center. David fought valiantly over the past 5 months but his Cancer won. He passed peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico and resided in New York City before moving to Manalapan Township 33 years ago. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a Senior Vice President of Operations at U.S. Trust Company before retiring. He was a cherished neighbor and friend. He was the most supportive and loving father. Most importantly, he was the love of his wife Brunilda’s life for over 45 years. David is survived by his wife Brunilda Gutierrez Soto; a son, David Soto, Jr.; Two daughters, Jessica Wunsch and husband Ryan and Amanda Soto and husband Matthew Mogilski. The viewing will be held at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. followed by entombment at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum, Marlboro Township. The family would also like to thank the staff of the 4 East Oncology Unit at CentraState. Their amazing care for David and compassion for his family was a bright light during this difficult time.
