Obituary of Betty E. Theiss

Betty E. Theiss, 88, of Freehold died on Friday, November 3, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Theiss was employed by New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, Freehold before her retirement. Mrs. Theiss was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, and later the Hope Lutheran Church, Freehold. Betty was a tough and tender lady who loved to sew and make boxer shorts for everyone as well as bibs for every baby she met. She believed “if you fall twenty times, you get up twenty-one”. She was the widow of George J. Theiss, Sr. who died in 2002. She was also predeceased by a son, William Theiss in 2016 and a great grandson, Eli, in 2016 Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Dressler; a son and daughter-in-law, George and Diana Theiss; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Theiss; a brother, Herbert Schmon; six grandchildren, Justin, Carrie, Crystal, Jason, Austin, and Aubrey; and three great grandchildren, Eneida, Eren, and Rose. Private services will be held under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
