Obituary of Carmen Alicia Cordero

Carmen Alicia Cordero, 74, 0f Asbury Park, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she lived in Englishtown prior to moving to Asbury Park over 40 years ago. She was a telephone operator for the N.J. Bell Telephone Company, Jersey City. She was predeceased by her son, Jael Cordero; and her granddaughter, Tori Cordero. Surviving are her soulmate, Victor Figueroa; her sons, Eusebio and Anibal Cordero; her daughters, Lucy Juarez, Maria Cordero, Olga Kern, and Carmen Cordero; her brother, Rafael Melendez; her sisters, Gladys Estavillo and Mary Ramos; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M at the funeral home.
