Obituary of Marcelino S. Perez

Marcelino S. Perez, 82, of Freehold Township passed away on October 21, 2017 at The Manor, Freehold Township. He was born in Newark, NJ. Prior to his retirement, Marc was the owner of Tri-Plex Business Products, a business forms company. He was a communicant of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township. Marc was an active member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and the founder of the Freehold Barbershop Chapter. He was also a member of Freehold Council No. 1672, Knights of Columbus, Freehold. Marc was a devoted family man; he was known for providing care and support to those closest to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abdon and Socorro Sabin Perez, his aunt and uncle, Antonio and Anuncia Riobo, his aunt Rosario Sabin and a brother, Adolph Perez. Surviving are his wife, Helen Schuster Perez; his children, Mark Perez and wife Celisa, Elizabeth Perez, Catherine Perez and partner Richard Heysek, Sara Perez, Dan Perez and wife Jennifer, and Thomas Perez and wife Jenny; four grandchildren, Luis, Oscar, Mia, and Abigail; a niece and nephew, Elaine and Matthew; and cousins, Pilar Serruya and Nieves Sobrino. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by entombment at St. Rose of Lima Mausoleum, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to HarmonyFoundation.org or the Jersey Shore Animal Center in Brick, NJ would be appreciated.
